Overview

I collaborated closely with the Marketing Manager to redesign the corporate brand and refresh the web presence for an electronic shelf label supplier. The company’s existing website and branding felt dated and didn’t clearly communicate their products or value to customers. I focused on creating a cleaner, modern visual identity and a customer-focused website that better showcased their solutions, highlighted key benefits, and strengthened the overall brand presence.

Kickoff & Alignment

Partnered with the Marketing Manager to clarify goals, audience segments, brand tone, and business priorities.

Brand Audit

Reviewed the existing visual identity, messaging, website, and marketing materials to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities.

Competitive Analysis

Analyzed competitor branding and websites to understand visual norms, and trends in retail tech.

Define Brand Direction

Worked with the Marketing Manager to establish the updated brand foundations, color palette, typography, imagery style, and key messaging themes.

Design Solutions

Product Pages

Designed product pages which acted as a digital showroom that clearly presented relevant information for the target audience, making content easy to read, well-organized, and useful to support engagement and business goals.

Responsive Design

Designed a responsive layout for desktop, tablet, and mobile to keep content clear, navigation easy, and usability consistent across all devices.

Brand Identity

Created a brand identity that combined professionalism with approachability and showcased innovation in ESL technology. I guided the visual direction, selected colors and typography for clarity, and provided brand guidelines to ensure a consistent presence across all channels.

Insights

This project taught me a lot about brand strategy and translating it into digital experiences. I learned how small changes to visual identity, typography, and layout can dramatically improve clarity and customer perception. Collaborating closely with the Marketing Manager reinforced the importance of aligning design decisions with business goals and target audience needs. I also strengthened my skills in crafting customer-focused interfaces, balancing aesthetics with usability, and ensuring a cohesive brand experience across the website and other touchpoints.
